We provide 5 BIOS ROMs.(auf0105, auf0105f, auf0105g, auf0105i, auf0105s) * auf0105 : supports for English only * auf0105f : supports for French and English * auf0105g : supports for German and English * auf0105i : supports for Itarian and English * auf0105s : supports for Spanish and English ADDED OR MODIFIED FEATURES / BUGS FIXED: We changed this BIOS(Rev. 0105) from BIOS(Rev. 0104) as following. a) Fixed following problem about time stamp of HW event log. Time stamp of HW event log becomes "80/01/01 00:01:01" in year 2000 if system is turned on in year 19xx and it is NOT turned off until year 2000 and SMI event for HW event log(ex. memory error, door open, etc.) occurs in year 2000. b) sB1 step Micro Code has been updated from Ver. BUsB1D1 to Ver. BUsB1D2. (Pentium Pro errata 59(Errata 80) has already solved by BUsB1D1 + MSR Offset 033h bit 30 setting from initial BIOS revision.) KNOWN RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Pentium(R)Pro Processor Workaround #50 Limitation. If a system with cacheable memory in the address 70000000h-7003FFFFh has a Modified address in that range, and a WBINVD is performed to write back and invalidate the caches, the processor may hang. Note: -If system is mounted over 1.792GB memory, this problem may be occurred. If you use P6s B1 Step CPU, this problem does not occurred. 2. "Display Message During BIOS Initialization" menu Limitation. If you set "Display Message During BIOS Initialization" menu in the SCSI Select Utility(00:01:A -> Configure/View Host Adapter Settings -> Advanced Configuration Options -> ) to "Disable", it is ignored. If you want to change "" function setting of onboard SCSI, you can do it at "SCSI Select Utility Mask" menu in the system BIOS SETUP(Security -> ). If you set that menu to "Masked", "" function of onboard SCSI is disabled. NOTES: 1. "Unsupported CPU detected" message is displayed. When the CPU except P6s_B1_Stepping is installed, POST displays the message on Error Summary. In that case, CPU BIOS Update Code is set to the all CPUs. So, When the message is displayed, there are no problems. 2. Unsupported Console Redirection through SMB. Unsupported Console Redirection used serial port of Server Management Board(SMB). 3. Unsupported execution of ICU with Console Redirect Port. Can not execute ICU from another machine connected with console redirect port. TEST RECOMMENDATIONS: Windows NT running test with this BIOS. AUTOEXEC.BAT AUF0105.ROM PHLASH.EXE PLATFORM.BIN 3 Make a bootable FD. 4 Copy above extracted files from U99D0105.ZIP to FD. HOW TO UPDATE BIOS: 1 Turn on the power of the system. 2 Insert the BIOS Update FD to the system's FDD. 3 If " resume Setup" is displayed, press F1 key. 4 BIOS will be overwritten automatically. 5 When the Green Window is displayed, press any key. The system will reboot. 6 Remove the BIOS Update FD. 7 Check the BIOS revision. (Phoenix BIOS 4.0 Rel 5.12.5.0105.) 8 If "Press for SCSISelect(TM)utility!" is displayed, press key, and set value of the SCSI Select Utility to the default value.
