NEC CD EXPRESS ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION DISK V1.00.00 January 15, 1993 OVERVIEW: --------- The CD Express CD Bundle consists of ten CD packages. Four of these titles have difficulties when used with certain video controller, such as the Cirrus video chips used on the NEC Ready 325/425/433/466 and PowerMate 325/425/433/466. The four titles are 'TOTAL BASEBALL', 'THE BEST OF THE BUREAU', 'FAMILY DOCTOR' and 'THE TOOLWORKS REFERENCE LIBRARY'. Running "INSTALL.BAT" on this disk copies the files required for these packages to work properly. Please see the descriptions below for further details on installation procedures and the issues this disk will resolve. ISSUE RESOLVED: ---------------- ISSUE #1: The Software Toolworks Reference Library will not display properly when a mouse is install on a system using a Cirrus video controller. SOLUTION #1: If you install the Toolworks Reference Library and the display is totally scrambled, then you must upgrade from version 2.00 to 2.01 of the TRL.EXE program. ISSUE #2: Total Baseball, Family Doctor and Best of the Bureau display the graphics screen in only the top one fourth of the screen a on system using a VESA compatible video chip. SOLUTION #2: The Disc Passage software used to run these titles must be upgraded to version 1.3f. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: -------------------------- 1) Install the CD Express bundle normally as described in its documentation. 2) Insert the CD EXPRESS ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION DISK into drive A: Note: Replace "A:" with "B:" if the disk is in your B: drive. 3) Change to your floppy drive by typing "A:" at the DOS prompt. Note: Replace "A:" with "B:" if the disk is in your B: drive. 4) Type "INSTALL" and press "enter". 5) The software will copy all of the require files to your hard drive. Note: In this process you may have to answer some simple installation questions. Simply choose the defaults as the answers to these questions.
