UNIVERSAL DRIVER RELEASE NOTES Version 2.60 (11/96) Driver and Hardware Updates: 1. As of January 1997, AdvanSys will ship Version 2.60 of the installation software with all SCSI Host Adapters, including Ultra SCSI. 2. Version 2.60 enables quick DOS and WINDOWS 3.11 setups that copy the ASPI manager and CD-ROM driver to the ADVSCSI directory. It also updates config.sys and autoexec.bat files. For Windows 95 please see the installation instruction in the Windows 95 subdirectory. 3. ADVDISK now supports 512, 1K, and 2K sector size storage media for both MO and removeble media drives. 4. Version 2.6 includes a fix for the Quantum_XP34301 incompatibility bug occurring under WIN 95. 5. AdvanSys FMTSCSI utilities and the new AdvanSys BIOS 2.6 now support low level formatting for Quantum drives. 6. The new AdvanSys BIOS 2.6 supports system boots directly from CD ROMs. 7. Version 2.60 automatically loads the CDD2000.VXD for Phillips CDR2000 runningunder Windows 95. 8. Windows NT is supported starting with Version NT 3.51. Detailed installation procedures are in the WinNT.txt root directory. 9. Support for the latest version of OS/2 WARP 4.0 is now available in AdvanSys installation software version 2.60. 10. Support is also available for the latest UNIX CD ROM drivers for SCO UnixWare 2.1, or Sun Solaris 2.51. Support for LINUX and Solaris is available through the AdvanSys BBS and FTP. Directories for LINUX and Solaris files, as well as text files describing how to obtain drivers for additional operating systems from the BBS and FTP, are on Diskette number 2. 11.
