README for the Olicom Adapter Setup program and the Olicom Adapter Diagnostics program ------------------------------------------- This file describes the available command-line options for the Olicom Adapter Setup program and the Olicom Adapter Diagnostics program. /mono This option applies only when running Setup from DOS, or when running the Diagnostics program. Use this option, if you are running the setup program on a monochrome screen, and the displays are difficult to read. /altfont This option applies only when running Setup from DOS, or when running the Diagnostics program. On a few systems it has been observed, that the display of numbers, punctuation marks and whitespace space is garbled when running the Setup or Diagnostics program, making it very difficult to read the display. This option changes the font used by the programs, which solves this problem. /root=[disk:][directory] This option applies to the Setup program only. Sets the default source disk and directory from which files are copied by the Setup program. The default setting is to copy files from A:\ - if you have the Olicom disks installed on a network drive or hard disk, use this option to tell the Setup program where the files can be found. /pnp:0 This option applies to the Setup program only. Disable the automatic detection of whether the Setup program is running in a Plug-and-Play (PnP) based system. This option allows hardware configuration of ISA-based network adapters in PnP systems, although the PnP BIOS may very well override the manual settings the next time the system is booted. *** end of file ***
